Throughout the history of the State of Israel, there have been small and isolated farms that did not belong to orderly localities, but when we talk about “individual farms”, we usually mean the same farms that were established in Israel in the early 1990s. Especially in the “Wine Road” program. In recent years, the wine industry in the Negev region has developed greatly and the number of Negev wineries has increased greatly. The Ramat Hanegev Regional Council cultivates the issue of winery wines and trips in the Negev that combine the desert wine route.
Course of the route:
Our route will take us between wineries such as: Winery – which produces wine from a vineyard planted on a rotten farm on the border of the dunes of the Halutza area, next to it is a small winery of two young people from Kibbutz Revivim called Shdema Winery. And its uniqueness is that along with the organic crops they also started growing vines, and this year we will get a taste of their wine.
Behind them is Kadesh Barnea Winery, on whose sands vines are grown and the winery produces close to 70,000 bottles a year, which is very respectable. Another winery in the area is Carmi Ovedat, this is a small boutique winery that produces 7000 bottles and grows the grapes itself, like the Kish Farm Winery through Eretz established by Danny Kish a sculptor and artist, produces wine himself on the farm, it is a small and quality winery. And last but not least is Rojum Winery, which buys grapes from vine growers in the Negev and produces the wine there. “
The route is varied and continuous with wineries and wine stories. And of course tasting of all and enjoyment is guaranteed.
