Everyone knows the story of Sodom and Gomorrah, but the real drama unfolded in a mere fraction of a second. When the angels urged Lot and his family to flee the burning city, they had one single condition: \"Do not look back.\"\n\nBut Lot's wife (whom the Midrash calls 'Irit') couldn't detach herself. Perhaps it was curiosity, or perhaps, like many of us, she simply struggled to let go of home, the past, and memories. In a moment of human weakness, she turned her head back. We will ascend by cable car to the elevated plateau and visit the remains of King Herod’s palace, hearing the unforgettable story of the Jewish rebels.
