  • Gateway to the Galilee \u2013 Megiddo and Caesarea:<\/strong> Our journey north will lead us past the ruins of Caesarea, the ancient Roman metropolis, and Biblical Megiddo, often equated with Armageddon (Revelation 16:16).<\/li>
  • Nazareth \u2013 City of the Annunciation:<\/strong> We will reach the heart of the Galilee, Nazareth, where we will visit the main sites associated with Jesus:

    • Cana \u2013 Site of the First Miracle:<\/strong> We will continue to Cana, the place where Jesus performed the miracle of turning water into wine at a wedding (John 2). We will review the archaeological discoveries at the “Wedding Church.”<\/strong><\/li>
    • The Sea of Galilee Basin \u2013 Center of Activity:<\/strong> We will arrive at the Sea of Galilee<\/strong> for a lookout point, and after a lunch break (optional St. Peter’s fish meal), we will discover the holy sites around the lake:
      • Capernaum:<\/strong> The most significant site for Christianity, where Jesus settled and laid the foundation of the Christian faith. We will visit the ruins of the ancient village, the old synagogue, and the Byzantine-era church.<\/li>
      • Tabgha and the Multiplication:<\/strong> We will visit the site of the “Miracle of the Multiplication of Loaves and Fish”<\/strong> (Luke 9), and nearby, the chapel marking Peter’s appointment.<\/li>

It reminds us of the importance of the source and stability.\nOn those exact same waters, one of the peaks of faith in the New Testament occurred. When Jesus calls his disciple Peter to walk toward him across the stormy Sea of Galilee. Peter momentarily succeeded in walking on the impossible water until he began to doubt. The moment he diverted his gaze from the goal and was filled with doubt, he began to sink into the threatening waves.
