Are you ready for a single day that recharges your mind and body? Join us for a private, luxury tour to the lowest place on Earth, combining some of the greatest stories in history with the rejuvenating wonders of nature.
We begin our day with a spectacular drive east from Jerusalem into the breathtaking landscapes of the Judean Desert. Our first stop is the Good Samaritan Inn, an ancient site and mosaic museum located on the historic road to Jericho. We’ll immerse ourselves in the colorful world of mosaics that tell fascinating stories from the Byzantine period.
Sea Level Monument: During the dramatic descent, we will stop at the Sea Level Monument for photos, and optionally, enjoy a camel ride.
Our next stop is the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve, a lush oasis nestled in the heart of the barren desert.
We will take a short hike (approximately an hour and a half) and refresh ourselves in the surprising oasis waters.
Optionally, you can also visit the Ancient Synagogue of Ein Gedi, a testimony to the rich Jewish life here in Late Antiquity.

The Pillar of Salt and the Look Back As we drive along the calm, salty sea, we encounter not only scenery but also stories of Genesis. Everyone knows the story of Sodom and Gomorrah, but the real drama unfolded in a mere fraction of a second. When the angels urged Lot and his family to flee the burning city, they had one single condition: "Do not look back." But Lot's wife (whom the Midrash calls 'Irit') couldn't detach herself. Perhaps it was curiosity, or perhaps, like many of us, she simply struggled to let go of home, the past, and memories. In a moment of human weakness, she turned her head back. In that instant, time froze. She became a pillar of salt, watching eternally over the quiet, saline sea. To this day, looking towards Mount Sodom, one can see a lone, upright figure, reminding us that sometimes in life – we must know how to let go and only look forward.
We continue south along the Dead Sea coast towards Masada, a symbol of heroism and human spirit. We will ascend by cable car to the elevated plateau and visit the remains of King Herod’s palace, hearing the unforgettable story of the Jewish rebels. The views of the desert from the top are simply breathtaking.
After the emotional visit to Masada, it’s time for the most relaxing part of the day: Floating in the Dead Sea! We will immerse ourselves in the therapeutic, mineral-rich waters and mud at one of the public beaches, for a truly healing and refreshing experience.
Lunch (Optional): We can combine a delicious lunch at the Masada Visitors Center or the nearby Kibbutz Ein Gedi.
On our way back, we will stop for a delightful visit to the cosmetics factories that utilize Dead Sea minerals (such as Ahava). This is an excellent opportunity to purchase therapeutic products and souvenirs directly from the source, ending the day with a sense of healing and indulgence!
We can include a visit to Qumran, a mysterious site that may have been the headquarters of the sect that wrote the Dead Sea Scrolls. We will review the story of their discovery and their importance to both Jewish and Christian history.
Duration: Full Day (Approx. 10 hours).
Includes: Private air-conditioned vehicle, licensed and expert tour guide.
Excludes: Meals, entrance fees to sites (Masada, nature reserves, beaches), and tips.
